In addition to the impressive lineup of world-class athletes assembled for Saturday’s Reebok Grand Prix at Icahn Stadium, keep an eye out for a quick burst of orange around 2:45 p.m.: Shomari Taylor, Adrian Crichlow, Kobie Fuller, and Damion Drummond will be running in the Metropolitan Men’s 4 x 400m.
Coach Shaun Dietz will have some of his high-school athletes competing in the Middle College Girls 4 x 100m and the Middle College Boys 4 x 100m; and Henrietta Miers, the daughter of Charles Miers, will be running in the Girls 800m. Finally, honorary CPTC member Dustin Emrani will be a part of the stellar men’s field in the 800m (that race goes off at 6:12 p.m.).
Tickets are still available at reebokgrandprix.com for $20 and $30 seats on the backstretch; portions of the meet will be televised on NBC at 4:30 p.m.
