From Ani Go:
This report is a bit late, but doesn’t diminish the accomplishments of our masters involved. We had such an unbelievably great showing with three of our ladies scoring for the open team, placing our team in 1st place. No other team had such a strong showing of women. CPTC masters women are not only fast, but badass as well!
Here is what some of our badass ladies had to say about their races:
Judy Stobbe: VERY happy with this race!! Not only did I run a VCP 5K course PR by 23 seconds, 20 of those seconds were in mile 2! I need to work on my kick still…but overall fun race!!
Roberta Little: Michele (Cameron) and I had the same time. We were neck and neck battling it out…She caught me right at the very end just as we crossed the finish line. I ran 38 seconds faster than previous race and ran a COURSE PR by 7 seconds! Fastest I’ve run there in four years! I went out a little conservative because I wanted to push on the hills and have a kick at the end. It worked! I was picking people off on the hills and kept passing people in the last mile until I caught up with Michelle. Best I’ve ever felt on that course in years!

Judy Tripp and Mary Rosado placed 1-2 in the 65-69 age group. Wanda Wang placed 1st in 50-54. Judy Stobbe placed 3rd in 45-49. Our 40-44 ladies–Colleen, Amy K, Michele Cameron, and Roberta Little, came in 1-4…all fast foxes in a row! Amy K–who just had a birthday and is newly a master, placed 2nd…nice way to debut into the new age group! Sue P and your little captain placed in the top 10 in a very competitive age group where the 1st place woman ran 19:45.
