From Lauren Carter of the Open:
Saturday was a warm sunny day as the Women’s Open Team took to the road again for the FRNY 5M. Motivated by popsicles at the finish line, Lady Orange ran for a first place team finish leaving their top competitors in the dust.

They were lead by Cat Beck’s 2nd place podium finish in a time of 28:49. Kate Pallardy tried to stay close on her heels as she finished in 29:12, and Lauren Carter tried to hang on to the back of the front pack as long as she could to get her first sub-30 5M finish. Lauren finished in a time of 29:56 with 35s PR.

Despite the heat, Nicole Falcaro enjoyed running the shady and grueling 5M course. Nicole finished as the Women’s Open 4th place scorer in a time of 30:43. And Andrea Bradshaw sealed the first place team finish as the fifth scorer running 30:49.

Other strong finishes include yet another big PR for Shawnessy Dusseau. Although she tripped and fell at mile 2, Shawnessy was quickly back on her feet, aided by a teammate, Jacob. She still managed to set a PR of 3:18 for a finishing time of 35:19.
