Peter Brady has now won two consecutive national championships in the outdoor M40 800 with his 1:58.20 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The race was a classic, as Peter led until around the 620m mark, Mark Williams until around 750 and then it was shoulder to shoulder for an electrifying stretch run.

Later in the meet, Peter took second in the 1500, behind the same Mark Williams, with whom Peter sometimes trains in New Jersey, and ran a leg of the championship 4 x 800 relay.
Next up for Peter will be NYRR Team Champs on August 2.
