Numerous words have been used to describe Sid Howard, including prolific, energetic, inspirational, enthusiastic, team player, age group ace…. Well, starting this year, we can no longer use the term bandit. Since 1981, Sid has participated in the Bermuda Marathon Derby without an official race number. You see, in the past, in order to be an official entrant in Bermuda Day race, you needed to be a resident of Bermuda. Race officials made no exceptions, until this year. Starting with the 2007 race, Sid will get a number as an Honorary Bermudian, and will officially enter the race for the first time. Read the complete newspaper account here!
