Last year, Uli Fluhme and a friend started mzungo.org, a website dedicated to elite running and raising the profile of Kenyan distance runners. The site has grown quickly, and they’ve interviewed a pretty impressive list of athletes, including Ryan Hall, Hendrick Ramaala, and Catherine Ndereba. Now Uli is witnessing the world of Kenyan distance running up close, on a trip to Iten in the Rift Valley. He’s posting photos and stories from his travels at mzungo.org.
