Rounding out our masters outdoor track season, Jen St. Jean competed at the NCCWMA (North and Central America and Caribbean Region of World Masters Athletics Championships) at York University in Toronto yesterday and won the 1500m race in a time of 4:54.14.
She endured a rainy start, a gun misfire, and then a 65 minutes lightning delay before finally toeing the line for the race. After battling some serious fatigue throughout midway through the summer (and into Masters Nationals in Louisiana where she finally had to shut it down for a few weeks to rest and rejuvenate), Jen was able to get herself back to a sub-5 1500m. And if you are friends with her on social media, you can see that she enjoyed every step of the journey. Congrats to Jen who had one heck of an outdoor season for the Orange.
