The bad news is that Saturday s 8K race will NOT be a team scoring race.

The start time of the race has been moved to 8am and whether it is run as a fun run (no times recorded) or a regular scored race (all times recorded) will be decided on the morning of the race depending upon whether the conditions are safe for racing. The parks department will be working to hard to keep the recreation lane clear so there is a good chance of a competitive race regardless.

The decision to remove this race as a team scoring race was made because of the difficulty (and safety) of runners from outside the city coming in for this race.

The good news is that now teams will be only be allowed to drop one race this year instead of two. Therefore, team scores will count for the best ten of the eleven club points races.
