Hank Schiffman, 67, of New York has been selected as the USATF New York Masters Athlete of the Month for September 2016. Schiffman competes for the Central Park TC – New Balance.
Schiffman started the month off by finished third in the men’s 65-69 division at the New Balance 5th Avenue Mile on September 3. His time was 5:56. Two weeks later at the Kurt Steiner Cross Country race in the Bronx he covered the 5 km course in 22:23 to win his division. The following week, on September 25 he ran 1:12:12 at the New Balance Bronx 10-Mile to once again winning his age division.
