The WABC Fight against Prostate Cancer five mile race was the fifth Club Points race of the year. CPTC men ran to a fifth place finish, with a top five of John Roberts (26:04 PR), Dan Seidel (26:25 PR), Thom Little (26:45), Sean Fortune (27:00 PR), and Russ Pfeffer (27:29). Right behind Russ, was Alan Ruben, winning his age group (27:30), and coming in first for the 40+ team which finished fifth, and 50+ team, which finished second. Also scoring for the 40+ and 50+ teams was Tom Phillips (29:42). Casey Yamazaki (29:52) rounded out the 40+ team and Yasuhiro Makoshi (30:23) scored for the 50+ team. In the 60+ team it was great to see four 60+ club members running this race, since we frequently don’t field a full team in this category. Sid Howard won his 65-69 age group (34:56). He was not listed as CPTC in the results, but as it turned out, Sid’s result wouldn’t have affected the team score. James Hanrahan (37:07), Fred Trilli (37:45), and Dave Delano (39:20) finished fourth for the 60+ team.
