NEW YORK – Central Park Track Club (CPTC) has signed a new, multi-year sponsorship agreement withTracksmith, an independent, rapidly growing apparel brand. Tracksmith believes in supporting running communities and championing non-professional runners in the pursuit of personal excellence. CPTC’s mission — to develop New York City area athletes for national and international competition — aligns with Tracksmith’s focus. CPTC is proud to partner with Tracksmith as the apparel brand continues to expand its presence outside of Boston, where it was founded.

With its 50th anniversary quickly approaching in 2022, CPTC is excited to embark on the next leg of its storied history as “Central Park Track Club –Tracksmith.” The partnership’s foundation is built on shared values of dedication, community and excellence. The apparel partnership also allows CPTC athletes the freedom to train and race in any branded shoe.
“We love everything about Tracksmith – the camaraderie, competitive spirit, and community building!” says Head Coach Devon Martin. “And we were just so amazed by the performance of the clothing. We look forward to racing, and to representing the brand.”

“Central Park Track Club represents the top tier of amateur achievement,” said Matt Taylor, Tracksmith founder and CEO. “Their athletes are not only racing at an incredibly high level, but they’re doing it while succeeding in one of the world’s most competitive cities. The team’s tradition of success and commitment to the New York running community are unparalleled and we’re thrilled to be a partner and to outfit and support the program.”

Although the COVID-19 pandemic has led to unprecedented challenges, CPTC and Tracksmith remain committed to supporting their respective communities, distantly, and look forward to future opportunities to grow together when safety permits.

CPTC would like to thank New Balance for its support and partnership over the last 10 years. New Balance has become a key figure in the NYC running community through various partnerships and marquee races, including the TCS New York City Marathon.
