CPTC NEW BALANCE SENDS 5 ATHLETES TO USA NATIONALS

NEW YORK – Central Park Track Club New Balance sends 5 athletes to USA National Indoor Championships set
for this weekend in Staten Island, New York.
Leading CPTC New Balance team is Asha Ruth who will compete in the women’s 300 meters. Ruth was a finalist in
this event the last time the 300 meters was contested at USA Indoor Nationals in 2017. Ruth also had a sensational
2018 season setting a new American Record in the indoor 4 x 200m relay and competing for Team USA in the
4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relays at Penn Relays. Ruth was 4-time All-American for Rutgers University.

Ruth is joined by teammate Olga Kosichenko who will compete in the 600 meters. In 2018, Kosichenko had the
world-leading time of 69.72 in the 500 meters. Kosichenko is excited to be racing in her hometown of Staten Island.

Also joining Kosichenko in the 600 meters is teammate Tiguida Toure. This is Toure’s first appearance at USA
Nationals. Before joining CPTC New Balance, Toure ran for University of Albany where she holds the school record
in the 600 meters.

Terrance Livingston will race in the men’s 300 meters at USA Indoor Nationals. In high school, Livingston was the
New York State 600m Record Holder. Livingston competed for University of Tennessee before returning to New
York City.

Finally, Victor Palumbo will compete in the men’s 1000 meters. This is Palumbo’s 2nd appearance at USA Indoor
Nationals in this event. Palumbo is currently on the 2019 USA Top Marks List for both the 1000 meters and the mile.
Palumbo currently attends Concordia College.
