From Captain Amy Kvilhaug:

The CPTC masters squad brought home three medals from USATF Masters Nationals held at the JDL FastTrack in Winston-Salem, NC March 1-3, 2019. Amy Kvilhaug (W40-44) led the way earning the gold medal and a national championship title in the 800m (2:31.34), in addition to a bronze medal in the 400m (66.98). She tweaked her calf a bit warming up for the 400m so had to scratch from the mile on Saturday, which she was also slated to run. It proved to be the right move as she was able to race the 800m on Sunday successfully.

Hal Lieberman (M70-74) earned a bronze medal in the 800m running a 3:17.48.

Ivy Bell (W60-64) raced both the mile and 800m. She ran an indoor personal best 6:52.14 in the mile and moved up to #3 on the CPTC Best Times List in that distance.

All three racers flew back to NYC on the same flight and were able to beat the snow which was also a victory.
