CPTC’s masters athletes–women and men–showed 47,000 screaming specators that we’re among the top clubs anywhere, turning in top-level performances against some of the world’s best at Penn Relays.
Lisa Daley ran with the open women, carrying the baton on the third leg on CPTC’s 4×400 relay and anchoring the 4×100, as both teams had strong 4th place finishes in the Olympic Development category.
The women’s 40+ 4×400, made up of Susan Richardson, Andrea Ostrowski, Jeannine Bardo, and Sue Pearsall, placed 4th, while the men’s 40+ team of Neil Fitzgerald, Darnell Gatling, Birger Ohlson, and Gladstone Jones improved the club record for the 4×400 to 3:27, placing second.
The 4×400 relay team of Sid Howard, Hal Lieberman, Frank Wilson, and Noah Perlis also brought home a silver in 4:53.17.
