Four CPTC members traveled to Philadelphia this past weekend to participate in the annual Broad Street Run, a ten-mile race straight down Broad Street. As usual, the weather was ideal, the course was fast, the competition was deep, and the bands played the Rocky theme song all morning. Stacy Creamer was the 43rd overall female finisher and fourth in her age group, finishing with a time of 1:06:20 — her third fastest 10-mile race of all time. Stuart Calderwood, running a mere seven days after racing the New Jersey Marathon, finished with a time of 56:50, good for fifth place in his age group. Stuart, apparently still with fresh legs, was seen sprinting past several runners in the final hundred yards and leaning across the finish line to edge out others. Corey Henry (55:53) and Jim McQuade (55:01) rounded out the day with new PRs. Patrick Cowden was well-positioned on Broad Street to provide the necessary spectator support. Congratulations to all.
