Peter Brady, 44, of Jersey City, N.J. has been selected as the USATF New York Masters Athlete of the Month for May 2016. On May 16, competing against open and collegiate athletes, Brady clocked an impressive 4:07.98 1500m at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier Meet in Pennsylvania. Three days later, he ran 2:02.82 at the USATF New York Road To Rio Twilight Meet in New York City. He finished the month off on the roads at the Ridgewood Memorial Day Run in New Jersey where he ran 16:11 in the 5 km to finish seventh overall (and first in 40+ masters division) and 45 minutes later ran 4:41 in the 1 mile to finish third in the masters race. (note: On June 5, Brady ran a personal record 21:06 for four miles in the NYRR Retro 4-miler, second in his age group, and on June 9 Brady ran 2:00.23 at the USATF New York Road To Rio Twilight Meet #2)
