This four mile was the third Club Points race of the year, and in addition, was a prize money race. In a very competitive field, CPTC men ran to a third place finish, with a top five of Will Berriel (20:30), John Roberts (20:30 PR), Jason Ostenson (21:10), Sean Fortune (21:14), and Dan Seidel (21:35 PR). Alan Ruben (22:14) came in second in the 50-54 age group and picked up $50, and also scored for the 40+ team as well as the 50+ team.
In the women’s race, Aileen Conlon, two and a half days after running the 5000 at the Penn Relays, came in second overall, picking up $300, and yes, ran another PR, with a 22:24. To ensure a good race, Sarah Alaei made sure she wore her lucky blue CPTC singlet, instead of the orange one, and sure enough, ran a PR of 23:32 to finish second for the club and ninth overall. The women’s team came in second place and rounding out the top five were Katrina Bruckschwaiger (23:47 PR), Andrea Costella (24:18), and Felice Kelly (24:23). Silvie Kimche won her age group (60-64), running a 30:04, and scored for the 40+ and 50+ teams.
